Dr Jussi Parikka is Professor in Technological Culture & Aesthetics at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton. He is also Docent at University of Turku, Finland, and the author or editor of several books. Such include Digital Contagions (2007), Insect Media (2010), What is Media Archaeology? (2012) and Geology of Media (forthcoming in 2015). He co-edited the collection Media Archaeology: Approaches, Applications and Implications with Erkki Huhtamo.
